Drive Smart Colorado is a nationally recognized community traffic safety program that focuses on improving communities through the reduction of traffic crashes and the unsafe behaviors that cause them.
Drive Smart was born of a public demand for improved traffic safety in 1989. Reaching 501(c)3 non-profit status in 1992, Drive Smart has been a key player in improving traffic safety across Colorado. Using advocacy, education, and policy, our goal is to make the roads safe for everyone, regardless of their means of transportation.
Local coalitions made up of law enforcement, community leaders, members of government, and others are the backbone of Drive Smart.
